one way out...
we have a brand spanking NEW VIDEO! It's from a gig we did @The Seanachai last month and we were honoured to have Brian Cober jump on stage with us to add his double slide guitar mastery to the old blues classic "One Way Out". We play The Allman Brothers version but bow our heads in respect to Elmore James & Sonny Boy Williamson II. Check it out...HERE.
a little back story on Brian Cober...back in the day when Nelson was just a wee guitarist traveling the city, hitting up open stages and trying to learn his craft...Brian was one of the few elder statesmen of the blues/jam scene who offered advice and support...this is the reason that along with Brian being one of the best guitarists/musicians around he's also one of the nicest, coolest guys you'll ever have the pleasure of meeting! Do yourself a favour and check him out any chance you get! www.briancober.com TABU Music Festival![]() TABU Music Festival presented by:: I.R.I.S. Canadian Indie Music Spotlight we be jammin'
jamming - Pronounciation: jam·ming:
- to jam is an expression used by musicians to describe performing together without a set purpose or itinery. - to improvise freely, esp. in a jam session - jam sessions are often used to develop new material, find suitable arrangements, or simply as a social gathering and communal practice session. Jam sessions may be based upon existing songs or forms, may be loosely based on an agreed chord progression or chart suggested by one participant, or may be wholly improvisational. - "Jamming" is a song by the reggae band Bob Marley & the Wailers from their 1977 album Exodus. well that's what they say anyway...basically we like to throw down and flex our muscles, musically speaking of course! For your viewing pleasure we've edited out one of the jams from our latest show...be prepared for our "peanut butter & jam" version of All That You Dream...it's downright tasty! All That You Dream - Live at The Great Hall spring has sprung!
- we have a brand new video out! it's for the song "Be My Baby" and it's a live compilation of shows we've played over the past year. Believe it or not, we just passed our 1 year anniversary of playing live (March 28th) and we wanted a way to say thank you to everyone who's helped us along the way, in every way! It's also a way to clear the decks, so to speak, as we have a bunch of new things coming up & out...singles, videos, shows, etc. so stay tuned!!! Carmelo spent a lot of time plowing through videos from different shows and editing it, this is the fruit of his labour! Check it out here:
